Karim Benzema has been splashing the cash on an unusual collector’s item – a retro-style football encrusted with 72,000 diamonds! According to reports, the Real Madrid striker asked celebrity jeweller Dave Bling to make it for him, and has paid $250,000 for the extravagant item.

Linked strongly with a move to Arsenal this summer, there’s no doubting Benzema is one of the best players in the world, though his taste leaves a little something to be desired.
